Steps In Treating Your Facial Skin

July 20th, 2010

Many people struggle on the right ways of facial skin care. It could be very confusing to what is right from wrong due to a wide range of facial skincare products in the market today. Should you are one of those who desire for what is best in taking care of your skin, here are a few suggestions for you to have that younger looking skin.

Remember that knowing your skin type is the first step in proper facial skin care. The reason for this is because skincare solely depends on the skin type you have. Skin is categorized as oily, normal or combination, dry, sun-damaged and sensitive.

You will find 4 basic steps in facial skincare. The first step is cleansing. When washing your facial skin, it is important that you choose a good cleanser that is designed for your skin type. Remember, you must not use industrial bar soaps for your skin. That kind of soaps will make your skin dry. Do not clean your facial skin too often. It is fine to wash your face at night. Use lukewarm water in the morning. Avoid using hot or cold water in your face because it may break capillaries. The best way to wash your face and lose dirt as much as clogged pores is using warm water. Use only a pea-size of cleanser and then, wash with lukewarm or cool water. Don’t forget to remove your cosmetics with the proper makeup remover before going to bed.

The second step is to exfoliate. Many people forget to include exfoliation in the weekly facial skin care regimen. But the right exfoliation makes so much difference in the look of the skin. Shaving is one of the reason why men’s skin seems to be younger looking. You should shave daily to help in exfoliation. Some other ways to exfoliate the skin are chemical peels, retinoids, and microdermabrasion. Scrubs help in eliminating the top layer of scalp but it may also make the skin dull. Exfoliating once a week is best to keep the skin glowing. It’s important to only use gentle scrub that has tiny grains. Making use of cheap scrubs with big grains may tear and harm your skin.

Retinoid is one of the ways to eliminate dead skin cells and also create skin collagen. It is the structural fiber of the skin and as one gets older, collagen breaks down and produces large pores as well as fine lines. Retinoid is considered a miracle skin saver. How about using toner? Some say that toners are necessary, some say otherwise. Toners help in getting rid of cosmetics , dirt and oil. You can rely on good cleanser for this matter so it is really your choice if you still want to use toners.

The third step in facial skin care is moisturizing. No matter what type of skin you have, moisturizing should be a part of every skin care regimen. Even if you’ve an oily type of skin, moisturizer helps in sealing moisture into the skin.

The last step of the facial skincare is using sunscreen. Wrinkles are caused mainly by UV rays, and so applying sunscreen is necessary. Observe using sunscreen whether it is summer or winter.

The Benefit Of Nutrients In Anti Aging Skin Care

July 14th, 2010

You’ll need to make certain that the antiaging skincare products include an abundance of all organic elements that will supply you with vitamins and minerals that can tighten skin. You may not realize it, but the great majority of the wrinkle reducing formulas out there hardly give you anything at all that would be of nutritional value to the epidermis. This is because barely any of the cosmetic makeup products companies use natural compounds in their formulas.

Do you want to know why it’s that so many companies fail to offer you what it is you desire so that you can revitalize your skin? It seems that the multibillion dollar corporations feel that the expense of manufacturing anti-aging skincare products using healthy, natural elements is simply too expensive. Isn’t providing you with quality, effective anti aging formulas supposed to be their number one priority?

When you use an anti-aging skin care formula produced by a company that refuses to provide you with healthy, natural ingredients you are being robbed of the essential vitamins and minerals that can tighten epidermis. You cannot get a good amount of vitamins, minerals, and essential fatty acids from artificial compounds. You will not have the good dose of antioxidants that you need to heal your skin either.

The reason that anti-oxidants are important to you is that these vitamins and mineralsare capable of getting rid of free radicals. What free radicals do to your skin is cause abnormal oxidation within the skin by stealing the electrons away from chemical structures. Anti-oxidants reduce the effects of harmful free radicals by volunteering electrons, and as a result keeping oxidative damage to the absolute minimum.

In addition to providing you with anti-oxidants, compounds like Phytessence Wakame kelp extract provides other nutrients that can tighten skin. This extract is loaded in calcium, iron, potassium, sodium, and vitamins B1, B2, B3, B6, and B12. Phytessence Wakame kelp extract also has the proven capability to stop the destructive activity of the hyaluronidase enzyme, that is what breaks down hyaluronic acid.

Grape seed oil is another source of nutrients, and it has a tissue and polymer preserving affect much like Phytessence Wakame. Grape seed oil takes things a step further however, and defends against the collagenase, elastase, AND hyaluronidase enzymes. This compound provides your epidermis with organic vitamin E, linoleic acid, and several other essential oils.

Protein complexes and enzyme are truly vitamins and minerals that can tighten epidermis, because certain combinations of these compounds increase elastin and collagen. There is a particular blend being sold under the name Cynergy TK, that is a part of a New Zealand skincare line. Cynergy TK significantly increases the production of collagen and elastin, and leaves your epidermis looking firm and full.

These are just 3 examples of healthy, all natural compounds that provide you with vitamins and minerals that can tighten skin. There are lots of other organic materials out there that are helpful in returning elasticity and firmness to the epidermis, and these were just the greatest ones I really could think of. Try using a formula with Phytessence Wakame, grape seed oil, and Cynergy TK, and I’ll bet you see a remarkable difference in your skin.

If you’d like to learn more about little-known but clinically tested organic elements that are used for treating aging skin, visit my website now.

Mature Skin Care

May 14th, 2010

We all know what we want – good looking skin. One cannot afford to be lazy to achieve that. Numerous factors contribute to healthy pores and skin. We shall disregard the good genes for now, and look at what we can do as an alternative. One will soon discover, it’s not just the skin care that matters, the diet along with other life-style habits have a role to play too.

1.Skin Care

The key priority is to protect and rejuvenate the mature skin. Avoid irritation to the skin as much as possible. One way to start is by choosing a mild cleanser over deodorant soaps. Do not use alcohol based toners as well.

In a skincare regimen, the one most important step is to moisturize. I cannot emphasis the importance of moisturizing any more. Applying moisturizer helps to maintain the balance of moisture of the skin (as dry skin has a tendency to fully developed faster than other types of skin). Moisturizing the skin diminishes the appearances of lines and pores, hence providing the skin a supple look.

Moisturizing isn’t just for the facial skin. It’s equally important at the sensitive eye area as well. Adequate hydration of the eye area helps decrease the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.

Sunscreen is a must if one is heading outdoors. It protects from the harmful ultra-violet (Ultra violet) rays of the sun, which can be very harmful to the skin. The main cause of the fine lines, wrinkles and pre-mature aging is exposure to UV rays without protection. Make an effort to apply sun block 15 minutes prior to sun exposure. For protection against UVA and UVB rays, choose broad spectrum sunscreen. Lastly, a SPF factor of at least 30 is suitable for outdoor uses.

There are many remedies for aging skin, including creams, serums and even medical procedures like collagen injection, skin resurfacing and laser. The creams are a much safer (and cheaper) option if one is afraid of going under the needle. Choose one in accordance with your budget and needs.

2.Diet

You are what you eat.

Good skin can also be a result of a proper diet. Include a serving of veggies for every meal, especially the green leafy ones. If the vegetables are not enough, add on a serving of fruits as well. It aids the process of cellular repair, minimizing the damage from the sun or other environmental factors when the skin gets its nutrition.

Consume plenty of water; at least 8 glasses of water each day. Water helps to keep the body (and skin) hydrated, as well as minimizing the amount of toxins that stays in your body.

3.Lifestyle

Relax! Avoid stress and tension as they may increase fine lines and wrinkles. Doing exercises can be a great way to relax, and make improvements to blood flow.

For the cigarettes addicts, this may be a good reason to quit! Smoking can speed up the aging of the skin. If you want good skin, think twice before you light up!

Inexpensive Yet Effective Anti Aging Treatment

April 25th, 2010

The face is one of prominent part of the body. It’s where time and age meets. In our younger years, it’s upsetting to have acne budding all over our face and aside from looking terrible, it also makes us feel dreadful. Evenly distressing is that even when we arrived at maturity, we still undergo the similar skin issue we had when we were still young. Anyone who has a worse case of skin conditions splurge a substantial amount of money for their facial treatment to a stage wherein it will be all cleared.

Unfortunately, after having to deal with managing to have our face clear of any bad skin condition, we have to face another stage of our lives which is getting older. We unwillingly look forward on how our skin and face will turn out when we get older. But we could not deny the truth that once aging strikes, our pores and skin somehow changes. Good news is, it’s less difficult to treat aging than deal with the conditions of our skin during the adolescent stage. While relentless skin conditions need medical interference, treatment for skin aging does not compel any involvement of doctors.

Lately, there are a lot of products that is useful to treat skin aging. It is non-invasive also it can be readily acquired in drugstores along with other associated stores. These anti aging lotion help eliminate skin sagging, wrinkles and facial lines. The best antiaging cream depends on the skin type of an individual, but it had helped lots of people to amend the signs of aging.

Obviously, we can ask help from any dermatologists to fix our flaws. The skin doctors or cosmetic surgeons will willingly help you make improvements to your face. Regardless of how much you are willing to spend on for your face, there are different procedures to select from that will help you maintain your youthful skin. You may choose from laser procedures to tone and tighten the skin, injections to replace lines and wrinkles, or plastic surgeries to suction out fat or reform sagging sections.

Nevertheless, these medical procedures are risky for they do permanent injury to the skin after you undergo their treatment. Laser procedures exhibits scar and skin discoloration, injections are recognized to create strange and terrifying appearance as a result, and plastic surgeries are known to do damage on a consumer’s face.

The benefit for those sensible people is that they are not willing to risk their face to any damaging procedures but rather care for it by using creams that does not do any injury to the pores and skin. These anti aging lotion are inexpensive, and not only that, but it also produce the same effect as those expensive medical procedures or even better. Though it may take time to see the effect, but wanting to accomplish the once youthful beauty, it takes patience and constant application of the anti aging cream.

Not like those high-priced medical procedures that don’t recommend young people to undergo, anti aging cream products are much recommended to individuals at any age. You do not have to wait for wrinkles to appear before using this anti aging cream. As for preventive measure, you are allowed to use it before wrinkles starts to show. So why invest on pricey procedures when there is an anti-aging cream to help you attain that once youthful glow and even inexpensive.

The Way To Permanently Remove Age Spots

April 5th, 2010

I was shocked on going to one of my friend’s place last night. She had all sorts of skin care creams and lotions – you name it and it was there. I was so curious that I had to question what they all were for. And the answer was – to get rid of age spots.

This made me think of a lot more people who find themselves dealing with this problem and are trying hard but everything in vain. It was then when I decided to write an educational article on how to get rid of age spots.

But first, we have to understand why these are created on our epidermis. Then we can find out an effective way out for them.

Age spots are formed due to the over production of a dermis protein called Melanin. This protein is in charge of providing color to the epidermis. More melanin means a darker epidermis.

When we go out, the harmful UV radiations caused by the sun stimulate sourcing for this protein in our dermis. This results into over production of Melanin which starts depositing in the top layer of the epidermis taking the form of patches or spots.

Because it happens due to prolonged exposure to sun, they are also known as sun spots.

The majority of common creams try to remove the spots from your epidermis by bleaching them. This is actually a very harmful treatment and can damage your skin in the long run. A much better and long lasting solution is to reduce the Melanin content in your dermis. Not only will this get rid of the existing spots, but will also prevent new ones from forming.

To do so you really need to look for a cream with natural materials that can reduce the Melanin content in the epidermis.

One company in New Zealand makes a high quality lotion for this exact concern.

This cream contains beneficial natural ingredients like Phytessence Wakame – a sea kelp from Japan – which is the secret of the beautiful and vibrant dermis that Japanese women have. Extrapone Nutgrass, a root from India which has been known for its magnificent power to get rid of age spots.

Talking strictly about age spots, this root works by inhibiting the production of Melanin in skin. It thus balances out the over production of this pigment caused due to UV rays and prevents the spots from occurring.

For the existing spots, it works on them by reducing the pigment concentration and gradually dissolves them perfectly. The best part is that since the root cause of the spots has been taken care of, there is no chance for them to re-occur – like they do in the case of chemical treatments.

So, now that you are armed with this information, do something right now. Stop experimenting using your skin and use a proven and effective natural anti aging cream to remove age spots effectively and once and for all.

Check-out my site today to find out about more natural and beneficial skin substances I’ve discovered that I would like to share with you.

Look Years Younger By Avoiding Wrinkles On The Face

March 27th, 2010

Everyone knows that wrinkles are part of the natural aging process; however the majority of us women would do everything possible to prevent lines on the face. I do not blame them at all as facial lines are not beautiful and actually make your look older than you truly are. Avoiding wrinkles on the face can actually be easily accomplished if you learn to pay close attention to what you eat and what you apply to look after your skin.

The simplest way to take care of yourself is to try to look after your pores and skin from you’re young as early as your early 20s. The quality of your skin starts to get bad when you’re in your middle 20s, though the signs don’t show up until in your forties. Do not wait until wrinkles start taking over your face start looking after it today.

A primary reason you get facial lines is because you spend considerable time in the sun without adequate protection. The Ultra violet sun are very harmful to the skin and leads to premature facial lines. Free radicals and the sun’s Ultra violet rays cause collagen and elastin to be taken from your body. Without collagen and elastin two important skin proteins you will see facial lines and loose skin.

Smoking is another culprit that damages the skin. Another great means of avoiding wrinkles on the face is to quit smoking.

Eating lots of vegetables and fruit is among the simplest ways to prevent wrinkles on the face. Fruit and veggies deliver your pores and skin with a lot of antioxidants. They’ll provide your pores and skin with all the necessary nutrients to repair and rejuvenate itself.

Avoid foods that are too oily and have excessive sugar content. They contribute to oxidation of the system and triggers free radicals activities that will in turn destroy your pores and skin cells and your collagen and elastin levels.

Hydrating your skin is an execllent means of avoiding facial lines on the skin. With age your skin loses its ability to keep moisture which makes it look dry. Consuming loads of water will keep your pores and skin soft, smooth and supple and will also help your body get rid of toxins.

Applying natural substances to your skin such as moisturizers as natural oils is a great way to smooth and tone your skin. Natural substances such as avocado and grapeseed oils, they contain essential oils and vitamins which is perfect for keeping your pores and skin properly moisturized and hydrated.

Stick with natural products with natural active ingredients specifically formulated to build collagen and elastin and also have natural moisturizing effects. These basic but important things will help prevent wrinkles on the face.

Have you got unwanted facial lines, bags and sagging pores and skin? Discover the secret to beautiful, firm, wrinkle free skin and know about natural, effective and safe skin care products such as homemade soap, natural soap bar, and organic handmade soap. Inside Out Anti Aging

December 21st, 2009

Many of you have written to request more articles about proper nutrition for better skin. I wrote a lot about skin care products in recent years; however, as you know from previous articles I wrote, if you do not concern the inside of your body then what you apply on your skin will not work as well. So today, in response to numerous requests, I was on this subject; I am pleased to give you what you asked for.

Rejuvenating diet for your skin:

It is very important to use the right products “ON” the skin, but can significantly increase how much they can do for you to worry about what you “feed” your skin. You can actually look younger and to you in a few years of your appearance, paying attention to what you put in your mouth.

Antioxidant-rich diet to protect your body from aging effects of free radicals which cause oxidation. Free radicals are actually just unpleasant atoms become unstable due to environmental factors that we cannot control or things that we ourselves where we can control, like smoking, alcohol and other causes of instability of the atom to use your body for find ways to balance itself. This process changes the DNA of your cells, which comprises the largest organ of your body which is your skin. Oxidation and inflammation as a result of this process are the biggest causes of skin aging.

If you are a regular reader, I have knocked on the head with the benefits of eating a diet rich in antioxidants. Here are some products to include in your diet and why:

Water: Daah, this time “should” obviously is not it? You’ll be surprised how many of us suffer from dehydration and did not even know. Wait until your thirst before drinking water means that you are already dehydrated. Not enough water will lead to your skin to look dry and yellow.

Tomatoes: Lycopene in tomatoes may actually impede the Sun-induced aging, but also neutralizes free radicals.

Nuts: Only a handful each day will give you what you need. Nuts are loaded with “good” fat that helps to plump your skin. Just be careful not to eat too much or they will plump your butt too.

Wine: Hurray, the reason to drink wine. Resveratrol found in red wine, perfect for your skin. Only one glass, though about 4oz.

Salmon: Omega-3 in salmon, along with protein to help build a strong fabric of the skin and helps keep your skin moist.

Berries: antioxidants found in berries repair and restore the skin from the inside.

Broccoli: Quercetin is another powerful antioxidant that is found in broccoli, which is a natural anti-inflammatory.

Green tea: packing punch. They have 4 to 6 cups per day, which increases the activity of the cells and help in cell turnover.

Of course, this is only a few of the food should be included in your diet every day. In order to get enough food you need in your diet, you should leave little room for the things you should not have in any case. So download the good things, and you’ll be too full there are bad things. I want a good, healthy, rich in antioxidants day!

Organic Skin Care Tips

August 28th, 2009

Organic fruits and vegetables are the most popular things on organic skin care routines. Especially cucumber, which is the most common in organic skin care routines.

Other useful vegetables and fruits in an organic skin care regime include apple, ginger, papaya and turmeric. Science has shown that a combination of these organic ingredients can moisturize and revitalize ailing skin.

It is common in with skin care manuals today to contain information about organic skin care routines. They often outline the positive effects that fruits and vegetables have on the skin. If you decided to take the organic skin care route, be sure to experience as many different fruit and vegetable varieties as possible before you make a final decision.

Always use fresh organic fruits and vegetables for your organic skin care regime. It goes without saying that using old or rotten organic materials will only diminish the final results. Along with fruits and vegetables, milk is another effective item in the organic skin care arsenal. Milk, combined with ground oatmeal, has been proven to be an effective cleanser and moisturizer.

Let’s take a closer look at ground oatmeal for organic skin care. It is extremely effective when it comes to treating oily skin. Ground oatmeal is best used in a skin care formulation that contains milk, honey, eggs and fruit. It is recommended that you use such an oatmeal treatment as a facial mask.

Another organic element to consider for your skin care regime is wheat germ. Because it is blessed with high amounts of vitamin E, it can aid in moisturizing the skin and help to remove dead skin cells.

Like ground oatmeal, wheat germ is often added with other organic matter to create facial packs for those with normal to dry skin. In addition, wheat germ oil, a by product of wheat germ, is also used as a binding ingredient of organic skin treatments. Other organic products that are excellent for removing dead skin cells and moisturizing the skin are sour cream and yogurt.

Use of organic honey is also popular in organic skin care procedures. It helps in retention of moisture and helps impart a glowing look to skin. Rose water takes its place as a toner in organic skin care routines. Lavender water is popular too.

Herbal Skin Care Advice

August 27th, 2009

Skin care is not a topic of recent times; it has been in practice since ancient times, when herbal skin care was probably the only way to take care of skin.

Modern technology has allowed skin care to transform in a huge manner. Natural skin care treatments have been taken over by chemical and or synthetic based skin care treatments.

Rapid advancement in chemical processes and mass production has all but eliminated the once common herbal skin care treatment remedies.

The change to chemical skin care from herbal can be blamed on our lack of knowledge, laziness and to the mass production of skin care.

The commercialization of herbal skin care treatments has become popular today. However, one must keep in mind that the majority of these items are mixed with preservatives which dilutes their effectiveness. You are much better off with a homemade herbal skin care treatment than a mass produced one.

Presently, there is a trend amongst the health conscious that are seeking truly natural skin care treatments that are produced without preservatives.

Even though we have the knowledge and understanding of the benefits of homemade herbal skin care treatments, the majority of us still opt to purchase products from the commercial market rather than make them ourselves.

Aloe Vera, which is an extract from Aloe plant, is one of the best examples of herbal skin care product.

Aloe Vera aids in healing cuts and treating sun burn due to its power as a natural hydrant. Aloe, when freshly extracted, has amazing abilities to help soothe the skin.

Along with Aloe, dandelion, chamomile, and rosemary are also known to possess healing elements. They are considered to be most effective when they are used in combination with various teas.

Antiseptics are another important part of Herbal skin care. Lavender, marigold, thyme and fennel are good examples of herbs that are known to possess antiseptic properties. Lavender water and rose water also form good toners.

Skin Care Products Help

August 19th, 2009

There is really nothing like a best skin care product. There really can’t be anything like the best skin care product because skin care products work differently for different people (based on the skin type to some extent). A product that is the best skin care product for one person might end up being the worst for another person.

So, a more logical question to ask would be what is the best skin care product for my type of skin? However, this still is not completely logical. We tend to segregate people into 4 groups based on their skin types i.e. dry skin, oily skin, normal skin and sensitive skin.

However, this classification is just too broad to be used definitively in determining the best skin care product. We can say best skin care product for a dry skin or best skin care product for an oily skin are better statements than just best skin care product. But really, that is what it is better is still not accurate.

So, it really comes to rephrasing the question to what is the best skin care product for me? Yes, this is exactly the question that you should be asking, and unfortunately there is no easy answer for this. Arriving at the best skin care product for self will need some effort on your part.

First of all, you need to understand how the skin care products work. This is simple. You can consider all skin care products to be composed of 2 types of ingredients Active and inactive. The active ingredients are the ones that actually work on your skin.

The primary purpose of the inactive ingredients is to aid in the delivery of the active ingredients to your skin. Both active and inactive ingredients should work in unison to make the product effective and useful for your skin.

Besides the ingredients, the way you apply your skin care products is equally important. In fact, this is even more important. If you do not know how to apply skin care products, you might forever be hunting for the best skin care product for yourself, when that has already passed you.

In conclusion, there are outside factors to consider when choosing a skin care product. The amount of product you apply to your skin may be influenced by natural factors such as humidity, temperature, pollution, and other environmental elements.

Advice For Dry Skin

August 18th, 2009

Dry skin is a problem that requires your immediate attention. Without the proper treatment, you could cause permanent damage to your skin.

Climate conditions, hormonal changes and harsh exfoliation are all causes that have proven to be related to dry skin. In some cases, dry skin can be caused by other skin related problems that you may be experiencing. However, fear not, as there are simple solutions to solve your dry skin problem.

Moisturizing your skin is often the first weapon against fighting dry skin. Moisturizers basically fall into two classifications, which are based upon how they attack dry skin.

General skin moisturizers are those that work by retaining the moisture that is already in your skin. These type of moisturizers create a type of shield to keep the moisture in your skin. They are often priced very cheap and can easily be found at local supermarkets and drug stores.

The second category includes moisturizers that work by drawing moisture from the environment and supplying it to the skin. This is a very effective way of dry skin care in humid conditions.

Humectants are the special type of moisturizers that are from the family of non greasy skin care treatments. Better humectants are comprised of ingredients such as propylene glycol, urea and glycerin.

Extra care and consideration should be had when using moisturizers to combat dry skin. The basic procedure to follow is the completely clean the surface of your skin before spreading the moisturizing product on the affected area.

You can make your dry skin care even more effective by applying the moisturizer while the skin is still damp after cleansing. Also, make sure that you use soap-free products, especially on your face, neck and arms. Exfoliation does help in dry skin care, by removing the dead skin cells. However, don’t exfoliate too hard.
